| Private view and open evening Members and their guests are invited to the opening of the Spring Exhibition on Friday 11 May 2012 at 7 for 7.30pm. The Exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday 12 May to Sunday 27 May 2012, 10am to 5pm each day. The Autumn Exhibition will be held at The Grand on The Lees (www.grand-uk.com), at Folkestone from Wednesday 7 November to Sunday 18 November 2012. After its success in 2011, the Rita Benson Young People's Award Exhibition will be held again this year at a date and venue to be announced. Watch this space. The Folkestone Art Society Lecture (also promoted by the Folkestone Book Festival) will once again be by Professor Anthony Slinn on a subject to be announced. The lecture will be held at the Grand on Thursday 8 November at 7pm. Professor Slinn's lectures for the Society are immensely popular and early booking is advised. Tickets are free to FAS members and £8 for guests. Annual General Meeting The Folkestone Art Society Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 4 February 2012 at 2pm at 12 Grimston Avenue, Folkestone CT20 2PZ. The Society is grateful to David and Christine Crane for the use of their home for the AGM.
